Leukemia Researcher Olatoyosi Odenike on the Award that Jumpstarted Her Career

Olatoyosi Odenike, MD, associate professor of medicine, received a Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Career Development Award (CDA) in 2003 to pursue a research project on histone deacetylase inhibition as a therapeutic target for acute myeloid leukemia. She is still actively involved in leukemia research, and her current work continues to build on the work that was funded by the the CDA almost a decade ago. In this video from the Conquer Cancer Foundation, Dr. Odenike talks about what drives her, and what she hopes to receive from her patients when they are much older.
